In the Linux system, I find Java's double click speed is too fast to make it. Changing the mouse's double click interval in system does not affect Java programs. How to change the double click speed for Java?

Under the linux JVM, it seems that the double click interval maps roughly into a C function call to
XGetDefault(,,"multiClickTime")
The problem is that unless this value is explicitly defined it defaults to 200ms, which is too short for most users.

The solution, then, is to redefine it in your configuration file. Take Ubuntu as an example, if you want to redefine the interval to be 400ms, you can created a .Xresources file in your home directory with the following line (~/.Xresources):
*multiClickTime: 400

In other Linux distributions, you might need to name the file .Xdefaults in other flavors .
