ASCII and Binary transfer mode |

Auto-Detect is the recommended data transfer mode. In Auto-Detect mode, you can specify a list of file types that should be transferred in ASCII mode. The unmatched files will be transferred in Binary mode.
Binary mode will sent the file to the server as it is. For most non-text files, such as images, data, they should be transferred in this mode. ASCII mode sends files and their corresponding line endings according to the server's operating system. Different operating systems have different line endings, and CrossFTP will send proper text line ending according to the server's operating system. How to:
